Unadulterated screams ripped pass already bruised lips as her mouth stretched one more time to let out another scream. It rang down the mountains in eery little echoes before she was smacked into silence.
Trembling pale fingers reached up to touch her lips only to have her body jerked up into a sitting position by grubby little hands in her hair.
"Tell me where the hidden village is or I'll slit your throat next," barked the man she could barely see.
Her vision swimming as she tried desperately to stay focus. "P... Please I do not know. I am not a n... native of-" Sanyu began only to be cut off.
"Liar," he roared and punched her in the jaw. Then with a final decision he lifted her up in the air ready to throw her off the mountain.

Yumi was taking a lesiourly walk through the mountains and noticed a person in trouble.She dissapered and used her stealth skills to take the man by surprise.She had appered behind him and had both of her blades to his neck."didnt you ever learn that its not nice to pick on girls."she whispered in the mans ear bitterly.

Startled golden eyes look to the new stranger. Her mouth open to say a quick thank you but quickly she finds her body being tossed in the air. She watched in quiet silence, only a soft "Oh," pushing pass her lips as she falls.
Sanyu's blue hair almost blocking the blueness of the sky as she falls to her doom with the distinctive clicks of swords crashing, heard competing with her heart beat.

Yumi cursed to herslef and quickly slit the mans throat and jumped after her.She didnt know why she did it but assumed it was instinct and focused on the falling girl.Yumi managed to grab the girl's hand and looked around for somehting she could grab herself.She then saw a shelf of dirt that she instictivly grabbed causing both her and the girl to halt immedialty.Yumi's arm hurt from the striain of cathing herself and the girl but held on as tightly as possiable managing them not to fall any further.

"Please... it is best if you let me go," a soft voice pleaded as golden eyes turn onto the stranger. "I am nothing but trouble. He... He should have killed me," she murmured softly as tears brimmed in her eyes.
She was already willing to pry away the fingers that were wrapped tightly around her one hand. "This way only one may die."

"They are all dead... I watched them burn. My family is all dead and yet I'm still alive. What was it again I'm living for?" she laughed bitterly before she focuses her golden eyes down on the deep chasm below them.
"A life can be as easily snuffed out as someone blowing at a candle. Just one gentle move and it's over," she smiled to herself as the tears poured down her cheeks. But she genlty wipes away the tears on her dirty silk kimono before lookign at the stranger. "I am calm now," she nods her head solemnly.

Yumi was surprised at what the girl was saying and it reminded her slightly of herself.Yumi was more than detrimined to save this girl now and pull herself up with a bit of difficulty.Then with all of her might she pulled herself and the girl up on the small shelf with all the strength she could muster.Yumi rested her back aginst the cliff and panted heavily."well that was an adventure"she said panting with her eyes closed

Sanyu opened her mouth to speak but decided not to. Her golden eyes looking down at slim fingers that were now clasped to her side she ignored her bruises. Allowing her blue hair to fall forward to block her view from the world she took a shudder breath before letting it out.
"T... Thank you. I am sorry that you must risk your life for such as me," she murmurred before slowly standing. Brushing her hair back she looks at place that they had fallen from. Then with one delicate hand she finds a crevice on the mountain's face prepared to climb if have to.

Yumi looked at the girl with a stmpathetic look."there is no need for gratitude.I did it cause you needed help and thats it."Yumi noticed that she the girl was ready to climb back up."here get on my back,your hurt badly and arnt n any condition to do much."

Helpless golden eyes look at the stranger and she bows deeply from the waist, the gratitude shining in those golden orbs. "My gratitude is all I can offer right now Miss Stranger," she breathed softly. "I will not rest until I repay you for your kind dee," she said firmly before she helps herself onto the strangers back. "Am I to heavy? I could manage climbing if I put my heart to it..." she trailed off.

Yumi smiled."dont worry your no heavy, and if it makes you feel better, then i will except your gratitude fully."Yumi then used the blades in her boots to dig holls in the side of the cliff abeling her to use her feet to climb up."oh and by the way you can call me Yumi"

"Lady Yumi my name is Sanyu. I do not deserve a last name so I will not shame you with one. I have been wandering around for the last year for a place in this world, hence me on this mountain. But you... why are you here?" she asked curiously as she rests her chin on Yumi's shoulder. Her fingers clutching tightly to Yumi.

Yumi thought for a second"my village was destroyed twice by two diffrent people adn then along with my family.Now i go as a please all alone,and it just so happend i ran into you.After awhile they had reached the top and Yumi gently lowered Sanyu to the ground.

Sanyu bows deeply again before she pulls out to butterfly chopsticks from her sleeve and begans pulls her hair into a neat little bun. Clearly the bruises riddling her otherwise beautiful pale face are seen. One golden orb barely seen as the flesh around her eye swells over it. Her lips bleeding and bruised as jaw sports a blue black bruise.
But she ignores this as slim fingers reach out to touch Yumi's arm hesitantly. "You are bleeding. I should attend," Sanyu quickly said and without preamble she ripped at her silk robe to make a bandage for her. "Sorry for it being dirty," she commented about the strip she tore off.
