Background: Miroku's family is cursed with an air void. Miroku's grandfather fought Naraku and lost due to his weakness for women. Naraku then cursed Miroku's grandfather with the air void and explained that all of his decendants will have it for as long as Naraku lives. Miroku is trying to collect Shikon shards in order to defeat Naraku to prevent being killed by the air void in his hand
