Byakuya moves at speeds higher than Sesshoumaru and uses what he calls 'flash steps', meaning that in one step he can move at great distances without using too much of his energy. Also, he can sense ghosts and evil spirits and purify the evil and send spirits that wander in the world in the living to either heaven or hell.
Abilities/Techniques:
He can heal people and make different medicines for all kinds of diseases, also, he can make pills that can make way too thin and weak people normal and way too chubby and strong people normal as well. Byakuya also has the ability to open the gates of heaven and hell. He is not allowed to open the gates for a mortal though.
Default Abilities:
The ability to purify evil spirits, heal himself, he's an immortal and he can fly.
Weakness:
If all people of the earth stops beliving in him, he'll disappear. Also, he isn't allowed to kill humans even if they attack him.
Weapon:
His soul slayer. It's a katana with a ice blue and golden hilt in a normal black sheath. Although, when in transformed it's in the form of 100 sakura blossom petals that are as sharp as a normal katana. These are controlled by Byakuya and can cut up most enemies.

Description
Physical:
Byakuya is a tall and handsome man, with dark blue calm eyes, shoulder length chocolate brown hair and white pale skin. His eyes always hold a calm look to them, reminding of Sesshoumaru's calmness as Byakuya never shows off his emotions, although, his eyebrows sometimes raise to give off a questioning look and sometimes furrow to display a look of dislike or disgust. His brown hair is silky smooth and never gets messy and some of it is in three clasps at the top of his head and is styled so that some of his hair falls down in front of his right eye. Also, there is two clasps at the left side of his head that makes hair stick out in the back. His skin is pale and unscared, smooth as silk, basically the skin any woman would kill for.
His body is lean and thin, although he has muscles, just nothing bulky, allowing him to move freely. He wears black pants and a white kimono shirt with a black haori over and a white obi where his katana is located on the left side. Over his black outfit he has a white cloak that hangs open and it has no sleeves. He also has a large white scarf around his neck that sometimes is pulled up to hide the bottom of his slender face. He also wears white socks and wooden sandals.
Emotional:
Byakuya is what one would call emotionless, although he isn't. He feels emotions like any other being, although he doesn't show them as a status of his strength. When helping people, when feeling pain, when killing evil, he never shows emotions, always keeping cold and calm. The only emotions he will show is when he's disgusted with someting, or when being confused or when questioning someone. Although he as a god should not be directly involved with mortal business he often does. He shouldn't care about smaller groups of people, although he is quite sure that at some point, he will attach his feelings to some people. Byakuya doesn't get easily angered though, and when he does, he barely shows it, the only thing noticable when he is angry is that his tone of voice turns icy cold and his eyes get a slight hint of disgust in them.
Background:
Byakuya started as a normal child, although not completely normal as he is the child of two gods. Byakuya became the death god, a god blessed with the power to take dead souls to either heaven or hell. Although his instincts came natural, he was trained in all of his different powers and duties, which took him about 300 years to learn, after 300 years he was finally a young adult in God age and could start doing what he was born for. Helping the dead.
Although the first 400 years he didn't tie himself to the earth more than nessicary, he soon did, after his parents were destroyed by the dark gods, Byakuya saw it as betrayal as the other Gods of heaven never even stepped in to help his parents. After this, the old happy Byakuya was gone. He broke ties with other gods and now only sends them spirits as his duty is, although he is plotting his vengance upon them and is sure that he somehow can do it.
Till then, he calmly wanders upon the lands of earth, sending lost souls where they belong and caring for the sick and injured, most mortals think he's nothing but a human doctor though, as most of them cannot sense his extreme spirit force. This suits Byakuya fine though, as he likes to be treated as a normal human.

Byakuya came upon a burning village, lost souls were all over the place, children, adults and old people, all seemed to have died in this fire, their cries for their loved ones were loud, desperate, hurtfull to Byakuya's ears, he unsheathed his katana, cutting down spirit for spirit, sending them where they belonged, to the next world. Spirits weren't meant to wander on earth, on earth they would just get corrupted and turn into bad spirits, and cause bad things to happen to those whom were of the living.
At last, there was one single little girl ghost left, Byakuya kneeled down in front of her. "Little girl. . . Your name?" he questioned.
"M-Maryiryu. . ." said the spirit, nervously.
"Are you scared Maryiryu?"
"Y-Yes. . ."
"Don't worry, soon you'll be in a better place than this world."
"Your name then? Your. . ."
"Byakuya. . . Is what I'm called."
"Will you take me there? To the better place?"
"Indeed." Byakuya said, and poked the small girls forehead with the hilt of his katana, and the girl was sendt off to the heavens as Byakuya wandered out of the still burning village, continuing his endless wander.
