Arrival to Kouga's Cave and Entrenchment

Captain Gomon and his men made it to Kouga's cave by the Early Afternoon of the same day they left. They found the Old Cave that had been destroyed and they began digging out the Entrance to restore the Cave to a Cave. after working hard till the Sun set they successfully restored the Cave to it's new self. Then they began setting up a Defensive Position at the cave. They made the Inside of the Cave the Command Post and they took up defensive positions along rock wall formations. They set up the 3 Gatling guns in different area's one by the Command post. and 2 on the outer area of the Defensive Entrenchments. The soldiers were well protected behind the rocks from any enemy attacks. Because it was now night they rested and left 3 soldiers on Guard incase anyone may arrive there. The Next day the soldiers awoke and did basically anything they wanted but had to stay in the position they were ordered to stay at. The Color Guard bore the Flag of Naraku which was a purple flag that had a Spider in the center of the flag with the hiragana words that translated into Lord Naraku.

When one of Captain Gomon's sentry came running in reporting to have seen a Large Formation of Imperial Wolf youkai/hanyou Cavalry riding out this way towards the cave Captain Gomon Ordered all men to sit and wait in Ambush and that the Flag bearers drop low and keep the flag out of sight. Captain Gomon then ordered 4 light weight Mortars to be taken up to the ledge that stood over the Cave's entrance. He ordered them to place some rocks around and make like a bunker or something to keep the Mortar crew safe. Then after the Mortar Crew did so the Formation of Cavalry was seen approaching through the Tree lines. The Cavalry had a Disadvantage yet an Advantage The Cavalry had more than the 40 soldiers of Captain Gomon the Cavalry has nearly 80 Wolf Demon Cavalry Troopers who were armed with Carbines, Revolvers, and Sabres. The Cavalry neared the cave and were Close. Then Captain Gomon Ordered the attack and the Mortars launched shells rapidly killing much of the Unready Cavalry then the soldier fired at the Cavalry and the Gatling guns opened up. The Surprise Attack Devistated the Cavalry dropping nearly 49 Horses and troopers. The Cavalry wasn't prepared for an attack and they didn't have their weapons out and ready. The Cavalry began slowly retreating but firing round from their revolvers and Carbines but the Morars put up a wall of explosions that stopped the Cavalry and killed some of them forcing them to do only one thing.

The Cavalry Commander pulled out his Sabre and pointed at the soldiers "CHAAAAAAAAAARGE!" the commander shouted and the remainder of the Cavalrymen pulled out their sabres and began charging. The Commander knew there was no hope in victory ill prepared for Gatling guns and Mortars and now with their numbers down to 23 cavalrymen. They charged but were all Mowed down by the Gatling guns, Mortars, and Riflemen. No Survivors were taken all of the Imperial Okami Cavalry were shot on spot and their bodies dumped into the nearby Stream taking them downstream past the villages along the river.
