A brigade of The Imperial Okami Youkai/Hanyou Army of the Northern Lands was held up in a Siege with Southern Wolf Demon tribes who united and Rebelled against the Hanyou Wolf General OkamiTaisho V. The Soldiers were held up entrenched in a circle on a hill in the middle of the forest's trees and all their guns facing outside of the circle. They had about 5 Type 41 75mm mountain Howitzers( en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Type_41_75mm_Mountain_Gun basically this gun with a square shield thing surrounding the barrel and the front of the gun. ) and 5 Type 96 15cm Howitzers( en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Type_96_15cm_Howitzer basically this gun with a square shield thing surrounding the barrel and the front of the gun.). They were the Newest pieces of Artillery and were bound to replace the older Howitzers which were Muzzle Loaded. The New Cannons were Breech Loaded and had a Recoil system which prevented the entire Gun from rolling back as would happen with the older Howitzers. They were faster to load and shoot too.
The Soldiers were entrenched with their rifles and bayonets ready. They had enough Supplies to last for about a month or 2 maybe 2 and a half. The Artillery pieces were ready surrounded by Sand bags and other stuff to help protect the Crew. Then there was the sound of a Battle Cry and Thousands of Wolf Demon warriors charged at the Entrenched soldiers. The soldiers aimed their rifles all at the enemy the Artillery began firing and caused many Casualties. The Soldiers then opened fire with their Murata rifles dropping many of the Enemy Wolf Demons. The Wolf Demon Warriors began to retreat but were still being fired upon by the Soldiers and the Artillery. Then finally the Wolf demons had retreated out of sight. The Flag of OkamiTaisho and Kagura flew in the wind on a newly made Flag pole in the center of the circle of the entrenchment. The soldiers and the commanders knew that the Southern Wolf Demon Warriors would return later in force. The Weather of Southern Japan was quite Humid and the forest became sorta like a Jungle almost because it was the summer time But soon the Summer was near ending and the weather wouldn't be so humid.
