A haibane is sort of like the passing stage from mortal to angel or fallen angel, depending on how you act in the haibane time. A haibane cannot remember if he/she has been human, hanyou, youkai or an animal, a haibane cannot remember their true name and they cannot remember anything from their former life. A haibane is also an immortal, it cannot age and it cannot die by injuries. One can stay a haibane for a very long time, although most go from haibane to true angel after around 100 years. Also, unlike an angel that has snowy white wings, a haibane has ash grey wings that stay at a small size when on the ground, but grow bigger when they fly.

Rakka is very new to being a haibane and can only do the mere basics such as flying and healing humans. Also, the halo can be used as a throwing weapon to purify youkai. A haibane halo will always return to the haibane that owns it and is nearly indestructable. The halo can also light up dark places if the haibane has trouble with seeing. A haibane can also pull it's wings into it's body and take it's halo off and hide it in a bag or something to pass as a normal human, although pulling the wings back in has a backside as well, although the wings are protected from getting bloody when going inside the body again, it hurts so much that a haibane will start crying and screaming when the wings come back out.
Weakness:
None physically, but a haibane will sacrifice their bodies to save others.

Physical:
Rakka looks like your average 15 year old human. She stands at 5'2" and weighs 124 lb, her body is slender with gentle curves and her legs are long. Her skin is pale as the snow and holds no scars or blemish at all, it is perfect, smooth and soft skin. Her hair is light brown and reaches around half-way down her slender neck. Her eyes are a sky blue color with an innocent, girl-ish look to them. She usually wears a knee-length white dress with a white braided belt around her slender waist. She also wears wooden sandals and has a golden braided bracelet around her left wrist. When showing her true form as a haibane, there is small ash grey wings on her back that grow larger when flying or when growing back out after being hidden inside the body. Also, she has a small golden halo hovering an inch over her head.
Emotional:
Being only haibane, Rakka has the choice between good and evil, if she chooses good she turns into and angel and if she chooses evil, she turns into a fallen angel. Rakka is currently neutral but leaning toward good. She cares for the injured and tends to get a little protective of those whom she cares for, specially if something evil is lurking close. She is indeed an odd one though, most haibane accept what they are, but Rakka is still confused on that part, as she doesn't understand why there is a passing stage before going on to the next life. Rakka can be somewhat blunt with her questions and is often considered a bit naîve, though she knows when things are important. She is pretty cheerfull most of the time and likes to do things humans do and help out when she can.
Background:
Rakka was born in a small village in the north east, her father was a farmer and her mother a simple house wife. Rakka was their only child and she was known for her good mood. She was always lively and happy, the kind of child parents really just can dream about, she had many friends and had a normal childhood with few meetings with youkai or danger. That was till she was 15, she was playing with some 13 and 14 year olds near a lake. They wondered if a large stone could float if it was tied to a human. Rakka knew it couldn't and tried to tell them, but they tied the stone to her foot and threw her and the stone into the river.
The next thing Rakka knew she was falling from someplace very high, she felt warm and soft, but her chest hurt as she fell, and found it odd that she wasn't afraid, she met her pet crow Kuroi when she fell toward the ground, then there suddenly was a white light and when she woke up she was inside some sort of cocoon filled with water that she could breathe in. She found out that the inside was sort and dug her way up and was once again out cold.
When she woke up next she was on a futon in a hut and her back was in pain, when she sat up, weird peole entered the hut and started asking her how she was feeling. She soon found out that the people were called haibane and they were in the passing stage from mortal to angel or fallen angel and that she was too. She received her halo and told the others about the dream she had before she came to them, and from what she told, they gave her the name Rakka. Later that same night, when she and the oldest of the haibane was alone, her wings started growing out, it was a painfull experience and she bled alot, but after it, she started training together with Reki, the oldest haibane and Nemu whom where a only slightly younger haibane than Reki, Hikari and KanaKawa that was a two haibane at her age and Kuu, a very young haibane.
After the training, Rakka went off to help people, which she still does.
